Wicker Statement on USMC Commandant Emergency Health Event

WASHINGTON– U.S. Senator Roger F. Wicker, R-Miss., ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, today responded to press reports about U.S. Marine Corps Commandant General Eric M. Smith experiencing an emergency medical event.

“Gayle and I are praying for Commandant Smith, his family, and his loved ones during this difficult time. The Commandant has an exemplary record of service to our nation, and we wish him strength,” Wicker said.
