Wicker Statement on Immigration Reform Bill

June 26, 2013

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., issued the following statement regarding the immigration reform bill, S. 744, known as the “Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act”:

“I will vote against passage of the immigration bill. Although the Corker-Hoeven amendment has, in my view, improved the enforcement provisions, the legislation is still deeply flawed and if enacted would not fix our broken system.”
