Wicker Touts Accomplishments of the First 500 Days of the Trump Administration

June 7, 2018

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today spoke on the floor of the U.S. Senate to review the Trump Administration’s record of accomplishments after 500 days in office.

Wicker focused his remarks on the incredible economic growth, job creation, and wage increases the nation is experiencing because of the policies passed by a Republican Congress and signed by President Trump, including the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Wicker also noted great progress in national security, American energy generation, taking care of our veterans, repealing Obamacare’s individual mandate, cutting unnecessary regulations, and confirming conservative judges at a record pace.

“I am proud of our accomplishments,” Wicker said. “I am proud to give this interim report, and to say that we need to keep it up and build on this great record that has given us the lowest unemployment rate in decades and the most Americans working ever in the history of our republic.”
